A loyal and solid servant of a chef who values traditional Finnish quality. The Small Chef’s Blade is not ashamed of his older sibling, and will perform the challenges of the kitchen with honor. The blades were originally only made in a larger model, but over time, our customers asked for a smaller, lighter versions of the classic product. This blade is about 68 grams lighter and about 27 mm shorter than its bigger sibling. So it’s not really a question of which size is better instead how you feel best for your own use and hand.
The curly birch handle combined with hardened carbon steel gives the blade a sturdy and rugged look. This blade is inspired by the natural forces of the Finnish climate. It is full of strength, perseverance, and its own selfless pure beauty. The blade is the best friend in your kitchen. It does not make a number on itself in the best Finnish-familiar style, but when it comes to reality, it does not leave its friend in the lurch. The Small Chef’s Blade is always there, waiting, ready for action.
Despite its modest nature, the place of the knife is rightly placed on a parade of your kitchen. That’s when your friends and guests will see you have made the right choice. Choice that is responsible and supports Finnish small businesses and crafting tradition.
The blade is forged, hardened and sharpened by hand, so that in addition to the unique design, we can ensure high quality, which makes the supermarket knives with plastic handles pale alongside them. So you had to recycle your old plastic handle knives after you bought this one. The blade is easy to care for and, when properly cared for, keeps its blade for a very long time.

This blade is really easy to care for and its blade is easy to sharpen when needed. In a daily pace it is enough to remember to rinse and dry the blade after use. The blade can be washed with dish washing detergent if you have handled raw meat or fish, for example.
Do not even think of washing it in a dish washer. This just will ruin it for good.
The handle should not be washed separately, but it stays best clean and good when you keep the hand handling it dry and clean. Dirty handle is best to wipe clean with a damp cloth.
