A loyal and solid servant of a chef who values Finnish traditional quality. Forged Chef’s Blade does not shy away from challenges. Despite its sturdy appearance, the knife performs every cutting operation, be it a rock-hard post-oven bread, or a dainty cherry tomato.
The curly birch handle combined with hardened carbon steel gives the knife a sturdy and rugged look. This knife is inspired by the natural forces of the Finnish climate. It is full of strength, perseverance and its own selfless beauty. The knife is the best friend in your kitchen, which does not make itself a number in the style familiar to us in Finland, but when it comes to reality, it does not leave its friend in trouble. The Chef’s Blade is always there, waiting, and ready for action.
Despite its modest nature, this blade is rightly placed in your kitchen’s parade place. That’s when your friends and guests will see you have made the right choice. A choice that is responsible and supports Finnish small business and handicraft tradition.
The blade is forged, hardened and sharpened by hand, so that in addition to the unique design, we can ensure a high quality, which makes the supermarket knives with plastic handles pale alongside them. So you might have to recycle your old plastic handle knives after you buy this one. The blade is easy to care for and, when properly cared for, keeps its sharpness for a very long time. There is a handy hole at the end of the Chef’s Blade where it can be conveniently hung on a nail or hook in the wall of a summer kitchen.

This knife is really easy to care for and its blade is easy to sharpen when needed. For daily use, it is enough to remember to rinse and dry the blade after use. If necessary, the blade can be washed with dishwashing detergent if you have treated raw meat or fish, for example.
In the dishwasher, the knife is by no means washable. The knife simply gets ruined, so you have to buy a new one.
The handle should not be washed separately, but it stays best clean and good when you keep the hand handling it dry and clean.
